Hauser Diet |

Marion and Ross Hauser with Nicole Baird. |
 |
As most of you
know, I have been working on the book, The Hauser Diet: A
Fresh Look at Healthy Living, for nearly four years now.
Yes, it sure takes a long time to write a book! When Nicole Baird
and I decided we needed to write this book, we didn’t realize
what we got ourselves into! You’d think I would have learned
having written all of the nine Prolotherapy books! It must be
like having a baby. Once the
baby (or book) arrives, you forget all the pain it took to
deliver it! |
We have been practicing
the principles of the Hauser
Diet for quite a number of years
at Caring Medical. The concept developed as both Dr.
Hauser and I delved more into the field of natural medicine, back
in the mid 90’s! Having practiced
hospital based nutrition for 10 years, I was very disillusioned
with the standard of care for nutrition. Patients were just
not successful on the basic ADA guideline diets. There had
to be a better way. We started doing some research on blood
pH and glucose tolerance testing and eventually developed
what we now call Hauser
Diet Typing, a scientific approach
to determining the answer to age old question “what
should I eat?”
The Hauser Diet is a whole lifestyle program. So if
you are not ready to start making some changes, I’m afraid
that this is not the program for you. You are going to be
the one in charge of making the changes. You are the one
who has to change the way you eat. You are the one who may
also have to change the way you grocery shop and cook. You
are the one who has to add regular exercise to your routine.
Step one of the program is to come to our office to get Hauser
Diet Typing. If you truly want to know what to eat based
on your individual physiology then
this is the place for you! One of the differences between
this program and other diets or programs is that here we
actually test people to determine what their body needs.
There is no guess work involved. You’ll know. You’ll
also learn why things like the weather, food allergies, menstrual
cycle, hormones, and stress affect the way you feel and ultimately
how you should be eating. |

The
Hauser Diet is comprised of five different
Diet Types – The Hauser Lion, Otter,
Bear, Monkey, and Giraffe. The diets vary in the amounts
of carbohydrates, protein, and fat allowed on each
of the diets, based on the results of the Diet
Typing.
The Lion Diet is the highest in protein and fat,
lowest in carbohydrates. The Giraffe is at the other
end of the Hauser
Diet spectrum being the highest
Read more about it! We’re so
excited to be able to provide you with a book about
the Hauser Diet – you are going to love it! We
worked very hard on this book and tried to make it
very reader friendly, as well as incorporating some
tips that will help you get your health to the place
you want it to be. There are practical, livable solutions
in this book! AND, of course, some wonderful, delicious,
and easy recipes that you can make right in your own
home.
In this section of the website, I’ll be providing you with
more information about the Hauser
Diet. I’ll talk about
some of things that each of the five Hauser
Diet types need to
know. For example, how a salad for a Lion differs from a salad
for a Monkey. How things like the weather affect the way you
should eat and so on. Send me an email to this site if you have
questions and I’ll be happy to answer them.
